BEEF CATTLE WINTER SCHOOL 2024 (Eng)
Join us for an exciting 4 sessions of winter school in the comfort of your own home.
You have a choice to attend all 4 sessions or selectively choose specific sessions.
The winter school will cover all aspects of the LOGIX Animal Improvement System and Practices;
- from pedigree and performance recording,
- submission of data using the LOGIX platform,
- how to make use of all reports and management tools available on the LOGIX platform,
- the use and interpretation of breeding values,
- how to set up a sustainable and resilient breeding goal
- and finally, to understand a sale catalogue for optimal usage thereof.
All sessions are online, between 18:00 and 19:30 each evening.

- Animal identification and the measurement of traits
Session 2: Wednesday 17 July 2024 (LOGIX platform)
- Data recording and useful reports
Session 3:Wednesday 24 July 2024 (Breeding Values)
- Pedigrees, Contemporary Groups, Genomics and Selection values
Session 4: Wednesday 31 July 2024 (Selection)
- Breeding Objectives, SABeefBulls, Genetic Report and Auction Catalogue
